Most are either lower than stock US spec (tired)- or higher (carbon, Euro type).Interesting that the timing marks and flywheels are the same part number for all these cars (well 228mm and 215mm flywheel variations excluded) - yet the timing varies widely from any one of the (6-7?) distributors BMW used over the 1968-1976 range!)And it's ANYBODY's guess on Euro vs. Having done this on several 02s - I was a bit disappointed at the LACK of consistency in a few distributors (even fairly NEW ones!) ![]() You can use the adjustable units to actually GRAPH your current distributor's advance curve.
